Same energy as a munch, at a bar. Cocktails, lower lights, later hours. Still clothes on, still conversation only, still welcoming. The crowd skews a touch more openly flirty — but the rules of the munch all still apply. 21+ with ID at the door.

Coffee shop, daytime or early evening. Clothes on, conversation only, all are welcome. Order what you like, sit at a table with space, see who's there. Names are usually scene names — yours doesn't have to be the one on your debit card. Nobody asks what you're into. Nobody asks why you're there. The easiest first step into the community.

Smaller, midday, casual. For the daytime crowd — the curious-on-a-lunch-break, the locally retired, the work-from-home folks who can grab an hour. Often the warmest conversations of the month, partly because there are usually only six or eight of you.

A reserved table at a restaurant, sometimes a private room. A step up in formality from a munch — dinner forces longer conversations than coffee orders do. A good way to meet members you've only nodded at across other events.

Once a year, the craftspeople who make the things our community uses set up tables at a private event. Leather. Rope. Custom toys. Books. A chance to handle gear in person, ask questions you wouldn't put in a marketplace DM, and put faces to the makers. Worth attending whether you're buying or not.

a regular munch flagged + scheduled specifically for first-timers. Welcome Crew anchors deliberately, Foundations-classes-just-applied folks know to come to that one. Quarterly, or monthly if applicant volume warrants. Solves the "showing up alone for the first time" friction better than the generic monthly munch.

public-tier educational events. Clothes-on, conversation + demonstration. Topics like rope safety, negotiation practice, aftercare beyond scenes, communicating limits to a new partner. Bridges the LMS Foundations classes to practical application. Strong narrative fit with the educate before invite philosophy.

picnic, hike + munch, beach day if you have one nearby. Daytime, clothes-on, social. Easy to start if interest exists. East Idaho has good outdoor access.
